World Mental Health Day – Tuesday 10 October

World Mental Health Day is observed on 10th October each year and serves as a global platform to raise awareness about mental health issues and improving mental wellbeing.

Mental health affects people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life, and is integral part of our wellbeing. It encompasses emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing and affects how we think and act.

Just like physical health maintaining good mental health is crucial to leading a fulfilling life. Covid 19 intensified mental health challenges with increased stress, anxiety and isolation affecting many people.

There is a stigma around mental health, and World Mental Health Day, aims to break down this stigma and encourage open conversations, promote understanding and fostering a supportive environment for those facing mental health issues.

Tuesday 10 October is a time to remind ourselves about the importance of ours and others mental health and promoting and fostering a healthier and compassionate environment in both our work and personal lives.
